Four classes,One hundred 14 year olds, five teachers, no walls , one laptop between two. oAmongst all the chaos are 10 studentss identified as being so attention seeking, so disengaged, so innummerate of illiterate, that they destroy all the effort put into collaborative experiences. I am teacher number five. So my challenge is to work with this group and get them to the stage that they can participate with their peers in our activities. As I am doing the Intel course on collaborative/cooperative learning I figured I would put my money where my mouth is. If nothing else it will allow the other staff the space towork with their groups and create a more workable atmosphere. This is the very beginning. Stay tuned to my strategies, failure and successes.
