Now that summer vacation is almost over for most of us (or it never happened for others), what are some of your favorite appls you have used? What appls did you discover for your personal productivity or for additional educational uses in the classroom? Share the apps as well as how you used it and the link to the appls if possible. Also share the app platform.
I was at Matagorda Beach the first week of August and got to try out the app: Go Sky Watch Planetarium
GPS determines your location. Then you hold the iPad up to the sky and the app matches its image of the sky with the real thing. You can readily identify constellations, stars, etc. Very cool. It costs $3.99 but it's worth it.
Have you looked at WikiEdit? It is supposed to let you edit a wiki from an iPad. Since I do not have an iPad, I've not had the opportunity to check this one out. We need someone who has an iPad to test and report back.

Star and Planet Finder
Simply choose a planet from the list, and move your device according to the pointer display, the pointer represents the planet.
Free for planets only but .99 for others like constellations
If you have ever used Inspiration or any other type of electronic graphic organizer, you will be really impressed with iDesk Lite. The lite version is the free version for the iPad. The free version is so cool I haven't ventured to the paid version yet. You can also import documents from iTunes and Dropbox. The templates are really good. You can draw symbols and then they become part of the diagram.
Try it out and let me know what you think
