Did you know ... how to use Google Voice in a Foreign Language classroom?
Students need to practice their oral language skills. They can call and leave a voice message for their teacher at any time as homework. The teacher can listen to these voice messages at any time or place that is convenient for him/her. This is SO much more convenient than trying to take each person into the hallway during a class period and ask them to answer the "question of the day."
What other subject areas can / should Google voice be used with and why?

About Google Patent Search. I used Google Patent when I taught the Scientific Method- Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and in Physics. I pulled up the mouse trap patent and the toilet paper holder patent. The Physical Science and Biology class looked at the patents. My Chemistry and Physics class had to think of an invention or adaptation to an invention and write a proposal for a patent for the idea. I had some amazing inventions.
I've used Google Maps for a long time. The street view is always interesting (esp. your won house). We use it to plan trips, find out where we are, where we should have been, etc., and what it will look like when we finally get there.
I thought everyone knew about Google Maps. I guess the surprising thing to me is that some haven't discovered it yet.
