I came across this website today and thought I should share it... http://brightstorm.com/
The site provides free videos for helping students with math and science concepts. These could be great for a reference when trying to do homework or for a student who misses a lecture...
Check it out!
Diane - this is a great resoruce! I shared with my son - as he was looking for help with Calculus and I couldn't give him the support he needed. He pulled up a video- and between that an the book he was able to get his homework done. I am going to pass this on to the teacher to review and share with other students. I love when community members share new resoruces.
Here's a great resource for math games, grades 1 - 5: http://www.abcya.com/
I just learned about this site in one of the Engage webinars on tools...http://www.watchknowlearn.org/ It is an organizational site for educational videos. Has anyone used this site before? I really like the search tool.
I really like the way the vidoes at Know Watch Learn are organized. I was trying to convert one of the videos using Zamzar, so I could add it to my lesson plan activities (since we can not play videos from you tube in the school). Zamzar would not convert it. do you know of another way?
I know it has been around for a while but I always seem to forget about it. http://www.khanacademy.org/ It is an amazing resouce for videos of lessons. Anyone used the site before?
Math Playground is fun. I like the games but they do have videos. They are not the most exciting videos but they are factual. Check them out http://www.mathplayground.com/mathvideos.html
A friend shared this site with me http://www.neok12.com/ Videos, lessons, quizzes puzzles for different subject areas. Check it out and give us your feedback!
