Good afternoon! My name is Laurie and I am new to this group. I am a teacher at Chatham Central High School and I teach Social Studies. I am interested in learning more about how to use this as a networking tool for social studies teachers as we implement the new standards.
My name is Mary Bryant and I am an educator from Sampson County North Carolina. I teach middle school in a small town in Roseboro, NC. I love teaching Social Studies and especially love teaching North Carolina History. Every year it seems that I learn many new things along with my students. I am looking forward to the upcoming changes in the 8th grade curriculum and Middle School Social Studies.
I am Sharon Baxley and I teach US History and AP US History and Turning Points in American History. I am also a part of my district's professional development design team. Like many others, I am focused on the implementation of Common Core and new Essential Standards as well as 1:1 Initiative. I am excited about joining this community and look forward to collaborating with all of you!
My name is Aimee Edwards. I teach Elementary (K-5) Physical Education in Austin Tx. I hope to use my computer to engage my students learning. I will teach health concepts along with physical movement skills. I plan on using my computer and projector in my gym to help keep kids motivated to learn and exercise.
Hi I'm Rhonda and I am a primary school teacher in Australia. I have been teaching for 30years. Yes, I'm still teaching!!!! During my career I have taught students in both high school and primary school. This year I am teaching students from K-6 in the area of Critical Literacy. I have been egaging my students in collaborative tasks, however I am excited to be involved in a course that I am hoping will show me many innovative ways to use technology collaboratively and successfully with my students. The Inquiry Approach to learning is embedded practice at our school and the Intel course just marries perfectly with this.
