I had a friend of mine send me these pictures about new technology coming out of Japan. In the revolution of miniature computers, scientists have made great developments with Bluetooth technology. This is a computer you can carry in your pocket. This "pen" produces both the keyboard and monitor on any flat surface where you can carry out any functions you would on your desktop or laptop computer.
This is the here and now. What are some of the other technologies out there we may not know about? How will this impact education? Will it?
A penny for your thoughts.
This also sounds like a great way to inspire students to think about the technology that they will create and how technology impacts their lives. I remember a conversation with my grandfather about commercial flying- and how that technology changed vacations and where people lived or moved to because of the ease of transportation. I also remember conversations with my mom about the progression of television going from black and white to color and that they were the first family on thier block to have a color TV - to think now people can watch TV on their phones.
I don't think that there is a day that passes where I am not using a technology that wasn't around 20 years ago.
Here is another story about software that has been created at the University of Notre Dame. Talk about a Star Trek kind of moment with the computer.
Amazing! I am constantly amazed at what is being created! I imagine one day students can have computers "projected" onto their desks. This is amazing! I read the article about the program that senses your emotions, and I think this is wonderful! So many students are taking on line classes, and I like the idea of a program being able to keep them motivated to do their work.
