Did you know that Google has a section called Google's Geo Education site, where you will find helpful information on using Google Earth, Maps, Sky, and SketchUp in your K-12 classroom? Google hopes that this site will help students conceptualize, visualize, share, and communicate information about the world around them.
Did you know Picasa is a great photo editing site? It is user-friendly enough for students to edit pictures for projects that they're working on. Send students out to take pictures within your school then have them edit the pics in Picasa to create a collage, poster or screensaver. It promotes great creativity!
