If you’ve glanced at our home page in the last week, there’s no doubt you’ve noticed the new look and feel. We’re excited to update our home page with some new functionality that we think will make it easier for new and longtime members to engage on the site, build professional connections, and learn together.
While the home page may look different, you can still use it to get to the people and places in the community with which you regularly engage. Here are brief descriptions of some of the new features:
Main Navigation: Front and center on the home page is our main navigation widget. Its interface is “action-based” and lets you decide how to engage based on what task you may want to complete, such as “start or join lively discussions” or “register for upcoming webinars.” Mouse over the four main categories to see your options.
Go Directly To…: This widget replaces the old, blue central interface that let you access communities directly. Use these links to go directly to one of our main communities and their sub-communities.
Update Carousel: Directly below the Main Navigation interface, you’ll find a rotating carousel of updates related to Teachers Engage and Intel Education. This is where you can find the links to next two webinars on our schedule, current incentivized discussions, and other interesting activities. Click the small preview images at the bottom to scroll through the featured updates, and click on the large featured update image to engage, register for the webinar, etc.
You’ll still find feeds of featured and recent community content below the fold, and you can still get help and information from About Engage. Additionally, we encourage everyone to use our new Support and Feedback app to request help, report issues, provide feedback to help us improve the site, and access our FAQ Knowledge Base. Click the blue button at the right of your screen to access this resource – we’d love to hear what you think of the new look and functionality and to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks for being part of our community – see you online!
