It's September already! In the United States, school has started and creative projects are underway. Around the globe, teachers and students are creatively using technology to collaborate across time zones and geography. Exciting opportunities abound.
This September, Teachers Engage is focused on the theme of creativity. We're interested in helping educators foster creativity in students, to collaborate creatively with peers, and to explore how powerful student and teacher driven ideas and innovation create positive impact. Our content area focus for the month is Art Education, specifically how it blends with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math for STEAM-powered design. This month there will be a specific focus on the Maker Movement and Maker Faires, and how these opportunities fuel exciting teaching and learning opportunities.
Around the community this month, you most certainly want to participate in the current Learning Pathway on Creativity and International Dot Day. Also, don't forget to register for the September Intel Teach Live webinar, which will explore all things creativity, Maker Movement, and STEAM on September 30. You also shouldn't miss the Intel Teach Elements webinar featuring the new Creativity in the Mobile Classroom course on September 18. And finally, always remember to keep an eye on the Featured Content space in the left hand column on the homepage to stay up to date on the latest trending content. It's shaping up to be a great month - see you online!
