    Background/Context

    Reading text in the Language Arts classroom is an everyday activity. However, stepping away from the novel and looking at short stories allows students an opportunity to spend more time searching for meaning in the text. Students are able to use reading strategies to find a deeper purpose behind the written word. This lesson will allow students to find literature engaging by using collaborative tools to determine meaning behind age-old literature that they will never forget.
