Personal Information Shared in Digital Images

Your digital images may contain more than a pretty picture!  In addition to the pixel data which forms the image, occasionally other kinds of data associated with your digital images is available.  This information, known as "Properties", is a simple database of arbitrary data attached to the images.  To locate right-click on the image file and select the “Properties” option. Go to the “Details” tab.  This window may include info on the image description, origin, dimensions, camera make, model & settings used, GPS (location information) and file specifications which include the date and time the photo was taken.  There is also a link to Remove Properties and Personal Information.

QUESTION:  Do you take the time to remove the Properties information from every photo you take and share or do you find this information helpful when viewing pictures from the past?
