In your thinking, what makes an exceptional student?

As blended learning begins to play an even more important role, what qualities will an exceptional student need to demonstrate?  Share your thoughts and idea

I think blended learning requires the Exceptional Student to demonstrate knowledge in different ways. I think the biggest challenge I see for Exceptional Students (Special Education as well as Gifted) is based on their ability to think critically. Providing multiple opportunities to demonstrate learning is one way teachers can help Exceptional Students demonstrate knowledge. One of the biggest challenges I see for students is realizing there can be more than one right answer or way to show what they have learned.

          • What tools have you used to help Exceptional Students show their learning?
          • How do these tools differ from the testing used to evaluate learning and teacher success?
