    NASA Technology in Education Awards

      Alan Shepard Technology in Education Award

      The Astronauts Memorial Foundation (AMF), Space Foundation, and NASA will honor K-12 teachers who integrate technology and education. A teacher will be selected for the quality and innovation of their teaching methods. Teachers must be nominated by a principal. The winner will be flown to Colorado Springs, where hotel accommodations will be provided. The winner will receive a commemorative engraved trophy and a monetary award of $1,000. The award winner's name will also be placed on a plaque at the Center for Space Education at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.  Deadline: January 16, 2010.
